There is no substitute for this heavy cut compound. I have tried many, including 3m products endorsed by body shops, and this does a job I haven't gotten from the others. My greatest triumph with this has been on gelcoat, where it has saved me an entire polishing stage by not only cutting through heavy oxidation on a 38' boat in rough shape, but finishing well enough to do just 1 additional stage of polishing to get a high gloss result. It saved me at least 6-8 hours of heavy work on a big job I had almost no help with. Boat guys swear by 3m super cut, but but this stuff cut that oxidation just as quick, and finished much much better. When it comes to cars, it will get the job done as well, I use it on keying scratches, bumper scrapes, and headlight restoration to name a few tough jobs. Stop looking for a compound and get this stuff, you won't regret it.

This was my first time using Menzerna products so I went cautiously with the application, I found the heavy cut 400 was not doing what I wanted, I then went to what I'm more familiar with and that is 3M products. I used the 2500 for a good part of the rest of the correction and it was fine. There is no problem with the product, just have to know which particular product to use for a specific application. I found the working time better than the 3M products that I use.
Menzerna 1000 cuts very well but dusts like hell. Will I buy this again? No. White dust is all over my garage, my wife thought my daughter was playing with flour.
I have the 2500, 3500 and 3800 and I like them all. They don't dust like the 1000. Will I buy those again? Yes.

I use this with an orange pad and it most certainly will take care of your more obvious scratches and can remove the haziness and rough spots off of finish quickly.

I love how this stuff comes off the pad so easily! I'm surprised no one has mentioned that. Compared to other brands, wow! Effective compound for benz, audi, bmw and other exotics with ceramic/hard paints. To be considered as a must in your arsenal.
Power Gloss Compound is something I use for problem scratches that haven't gone through the clear coat. I also find it valuable when I have to polish by hand areas such as under door handles etc. I use the purple wool pad with this product followed by FF3000 or finer.
Well when its bad this is the stuff to reach for, the badness of the bad polishes very Aggressive. removes deep scratches from clear coat
Power gloss is a great product to have in my arsenal. I use both pg and megs 105. I believe PG is just a step above megs 105 as far as it cuts faster but doesn't leave as good as a finish as 105. But as far as ceramic clears go, power gloss cuts fast and still leaves a very good finish even when teamed with a wool pad. It's the best I have ever used on any ceramic clear and I do a lot of Mercedes Benz. It does still need to be finished down properly but it's a wonderful product and it works great with megs da microfiber cutting pads on a pc as well with ceramic clears. It does dust but no more than megs 105 does.

I've used Menzerna Polishes with PC and Makita Rotary, but I'll never use PG again.
Power Gloss is an extremely rough compound, even on BMW CC. It is extremely harsh, even with White LLC Pad and leaves alot of Holograms behind that takes more time than needed to repair.
There is much better Compounds than this I would consider. Highly look at M105 if you want something strong that can finish

This compound requires the right kind of paint to be completely effective and is best suited to harder paints found on German and GM vehicles. I used Power Gloss to correct a completely trashed tailgate on a GMC Yukon. While it did leave behind considerable hologramming, the major scratches and defects didn't stand a chance. Finish it down correctly and Power Gloss is a fantastic product to have in your arsenal.
I did notice it tends to be a bit 'stringy' coming out of the tube and loves to drip over the side of the pad so watch where it goes.

I use Menzerna Polishes, exclusively. This is a heavy compound and it is very aggressive. Since it dusts heavily and leaves heavy marring it is not a compound that I recommend. Meguiars Diamond Cut Compund is almost as aggressive, but leaves a much smoother surface. Menzerna Nano polish will easily clean up the Diamond Cut, but Menzerna SIP is necessary to clean up after Power Gloss, then another polish is used to finish. Either Nano or Pristine Finish to complete. My 2 cents..
I use this to deal with problem areas and have been very happy. As others have said, finish with 106ff and 85rd for amazing results.
such a great product. it dusts like hell, but it cuts like no other. make sure to finish with a light polish and then a finishing polish!
Highly impressed. Removed some really bad scratches, using this pad & the 4" purple foamed wool pad. Followed up with a Final finish.

Very strong polish, works great with yellow edge pad and high speed rotary. Leave a nice smooth finish, do follow up with 106ff or final finish II

I love this product. I used this product with the purple wool pad and got rid of some of the worse scratches off a car I have ever seen.

Very good at removing deeper scratches in the clear coat. Customer of mine had a really long scratch on his trunk, used this with a cutting pad, followed up with Menzerna Final Polish II and that scratch was history.

One of the best aggressive polishes. Corrects very well even with mild polishing pads but generally needs a one or two-step polish after to correct the haze and leave a great finish. Does what it says it will and does it well.

Very strong polish that works extremely well. I had some scratches and marks that the Intensive Polish could not remove. This did the trick. I highly recommend using the PO106ff after this polish, as this will leave some hazing.
